What is the Chancellor

Ashla Legion is founded on the ideas and principles of a true republic. Each and every member has a voice and can give input equally. However, to ensure stability and make quick decisions, we have created a position called the Chancellor.

This position is voted on by the entire guild and serves as the figure head for Ashla Legion. He is responsible for ensuring all delegated tasks are complete, and provide direction for issues when needed. In short, the Chancellor is there to make spur of the moment decisions when something needs to be done immediately.

The Chancellor provides direction for the guild and helps ensure that things move along quickly so that we can actually focus on game play. He has got the power to veto anything that is passed by the Senate; however, we do have system of checks and balances built in that will be explained in the Council to Chancellor section of the forums.

Again, the power of Ashla Legion resides in you, the member. Your ideas are the ones that are brought up in Senate meetings and you are the ones that are voting for them. The Chancellor simply exists to ensure that we stay true to the spirit of our foundation and that we accomplish our tasks and goals quickly.
